Society Objectives

If you are an educator interested in presenting Conservation Biology to you student please contact Marjorie. We are currently working on expanding the Educational Outreach program to new schools in the city of New Orleans and developing an Ecology Outdoors education day, which would give high school student hands-on experience in field sampling.

The Introduction to Conservation Biology presentations made to the 11th and12th grade AP Biology class at Isidore Newman School in the Spring of 2007 were a great success according to teacher Janet Hess. The presentations were complementary to the regular curriculum and several topics that were presented, in a conservation biology framework, were ones with which students were already somewhat familiar.
