Here is a list of some recycling places: New Orleans Area Recycling Guide Local recycling effort in the Bywater area - http://www.thegreenproject.org/ Newspaper:
Glass: Tulane University Newcomb Art School : Enter Tulane’s campus from the Newcomb College entrance off of Willow (turn right, head toward Freret). You’ll see a sign for glass recycling between the Newcomb Art School and Caroline Richardson Hall, but this entrance is for pedestrians only. Turn right at Newcomb Circle , heading toward Broadway, and then turn right on Audubon Street at the pocket park (in front of what used to be the Newcomb swimming pool, now the bronze foundry). Take the next right, which is a driveway/alley that ends at a big recycling area with dumpsters and plastic recycling cans. Clear glass is on the left, colored glass is on the right. You don’t have to remove labels. The students use it for glass art (glassblowing, pressed glass, etc.). If you know of other recycling centers, please pass the information on so I can share the wealth!
